Chris Hotze

Founder & CEO, Crescere Capital

Chris Hotze is the Founder and CEO of Crescere Capital, a commercial real estate investment and development firm focused on creating long-term value through strategic acquisitions, development, and active asset management.

For almost three decades, Chris has invested in, developed, and operated commercial real estate across Texas and multiple markets throughout the United States. He has extensive experience in the industrial sector, including the acquisition, development, and operation of light industrial properties that serve a diverse range of businesses and entrepreneurs.

In addition to his industrial experience, Chris has led the acquisition and redevelopment of strategically located retail properties, transforming underutilized sites into neighborhood-serving destinations that create value for tenants, communities, and investors. His work has spanned all aspects of the real estate lifecycle, including acquisitions, development, infrastructure planning, leasing, operations, and asset management.

Chris’s leadership is grounded in a simple belief: commercial real estate performs best when ownership is aligned with the success of its customers. By creating environments where businesses can grow, attract customers, and retain employees, he has built a portfolio focused on long-term value creation.

Today, Chris leads Crescere Capital’s investment strategy and long-term vision, guiding the firm’s continued pursuit of opportunities that combine disciplined execution with enduring value.

Chris is the author of Mailbox Money Mindset, a book that shares his belief in building a real estate portfolio that generates recurring revenue. Inspired by lessons learned from his father, he developed a long-term investment approach focused on financial freedom and wealth-building through passive income. His insights provide a roadmap for investors looking to create lasting value in commercial real estate.

Chris has also contributed to the tenth-anniversary edition of Paul Akers’ business book 2 Second Lean, reflecting his passion for efficiency and continuous improvement. Furthering his commitment to operational excellence, he traveled to Japan on a CEO work-study program, where he studied the renowned Toyota Method.

Chris holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. He also attended South Texas College of Law.

Chris has served on the Board of Directors for the Episcopal School of Texas in San Antonio, the Jack Trotter YMCA, and the University of Texas Health Science Center’s Leaders of Tomorrow Board.

A licensed real estate broker since 2003, Chris continues to shape the Crescere commercial real estate portfolio with vision, expertise, and an unwavering dedication to his tenants, investors, and the broader community.
